February 04: We are delighted to announce that The Honourable Pravind Kumar Jugnauth (LLB '84) has recently been appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Agriculture, Food Technology and Natural Resources of Mauritius. For more details on his career path since leaving Buckingham, please read the Winter 2004 issue of The Independent.

February 04: Alumnus Sarah Wilson (BSc Business Studies '93) to direct first British film, 'Love'. See The Independent for more details.

February 04: Ashish Antia (LLB '98) uses her legal skills to help Save the Children India raise funds and create awareness. See The Independent for more details.

February 04: "Situation of Women in Britain" was the title of an article written by Suzanna (Alina) Tomassi (MSc Service Management '01), an alumnus, as well as a current PhD student and our Alumni Database Co-Ordinator. The article was published in the Polish journal, Women in Business.

February 04: Our congratulations go to alumnus Rob Grouse (MBA '03), who has recently been appointed National Sales Manager for Hanco ATM Systems. His appointment was featured in Coin Slot International at the end of 2003.

February 04: Dr Kealey took part in a Radio 4 debate on the issue of fees on Wednesday 21st January. Staff and students gathered in the Refectory to listen to the debate and discuss the outcome. The opposing team was led by Mandy Telford (President of the NUS).
